Global Media Services specializes in providing Web site development, video streaming, content management, and delivery and storage systems, development of custom video players, encoding and E-commerce hosting for our Clients on individual service platforms. What This Privacy Policy Covers
This policy covers how Global Media Services treats personal information that Global Media Services collects and receives, including information related to your past use of Global Media Services products and services. Global Media Services is a Data Processor
Global Media Services acts as a processor on behalf of its business customers, providing services including those disclosed at the introduction of this Statement. In this capacity, Global Media Services acts on the instructions of its business customers (EU data controllers) and does not own, or have independent rights to control the personal data it collects and/or processes on their behalf.
For such personal data transferred from the European Union "EU" to Global Media Services in the United States on behalf of its business customers, Global Media Services complies with the U.S. Department of Commerce's EU Safe Harbor Principles and associated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
For such data processing, Global Media Services enters into agreements with its business customers in the EU specifying that the EU business customer recognizes that it (the customer) is a data controller for the purpose of data protection legislation and is in compliance with the relevant Member State national law.
Global Media Services Handles All EU Data with Appropriate Care and Safeguards
Global Media Services will not disclose to third parties personal data processed in this capacity, except as permitted or required by its processing agreements with its business customers, EU Safe Harbor, or applicable Member State data protection law.
Any information that Global Media Services EU business customers identify as sensitive will be treated accordingly.
In addition, any data processing will be carried out with appropriate security measures specified in Global Media Services processing agreements with its business customers. Global Media Services has security measures in place to help protect such personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
In acting as a processor on behalf of our business customers (the EU data controllers), Global Media Services complies with all applicable EU Safe Harbor Principles for personal data received for processing from them.
Global Media Services Abides by All Safe Harbor Procedures and Protocol
Global Media Services has a Privacy Administrator who is responsible for the internal supervision of Global Media Services's privacy policies. Global Media Services educates its relevant employees about compliance with the Safe Harbor Principles and has self-assessment procedures in place to ensure its compliance. TRUSTe serves as Global Media Services’ third-party dispute resolution provider. For any questions and concerns not addressed within a reasonable time frame, or that have not been addressed to your satisfaction, please contact TRUSTe at http://www.truste.org/consumers/watchdog_complaint.php TRUSTe shall then serve as a liaison with us to resolve your concerns.
